An essential activity of the fall is a trip to the pumpkin patch for our Halloween jack-o-lanterns!

After much debate, we decided the time was right for Sam to get ear tubes. Jack & Sam have had chronic ear infections. Within days of finishing the antibiotics he’d have another one! Unlike his brother, Sam’s ear infections did not clear up when he turned one. So we met with a pediatric ENT and he has been ear infection free ever since! Sam passed his hearing test prior to the surgery, but since the tubes we put in he seems so much more engaged – and he really concentrates on my mouth when I talk to him, which makes me think that he was hearing, but not hearing clearly. It was difficult to put him under for the procedure, but we have no regrets now that it is done! Here are a couple pictures of our ‘little patient’ that I snapped on my phone in the waiting area:

Preschool

It is hard to believe that my ‘baby’ is really old enough to start preschool! This was his first week (he attends every Tuesday and Thursday) and last night he told me that he wants to go to preschool every day. It makes me sad to see him grow up so fast, but it warms my heart that he is so happy.

As I’ve mentioned before, Jack has a passion for all types of vehicles… including Thomas the Train.

When we heard of the “Day With Thomas” event in Lakeville, we had to get tickets!

The YMCA offered 3 year old t-ball this summer!

I think there was more playing in the dirt on the field than actual t-ball playing, but they had fun!

Happy Birthday to my baby boy, Sam! I guess he’s not really a baby anymore… when did that happen? It never fails to amaze me how fast time goes when you have children. Here are a few of my favorite pitures from Sam’s 1st birthday party.
